Eve's Game

Miegunyah House, 35 Jordan Terrace, Bowen Hills QLD

Miss Eve Harrison requests the pleasure of your company at Miegunyah House for tea and games...

Back from its sold-out season at Anywhere Festival in May, Eve's Game returns to Miegunyah House for tea, feminism and sleuthing.

Enter historic Miegunyah House and step into the world of Eve Harrison, Brisbane's it-girl of 1884. Eve has returned from her debut in London and is inviting you to play Paschal, the lady-detective game that is sweeping London.

"There are a few occasions when I come out of a show and can’t wait to see it again. Immediately... A must-see show that is both fun and thought-provoking." Catherine Lawrence, Creative Futures

A combination of immersive theatre and sleuthing, Eve's Game presents a feminist perspective on the life of a young woman in the late Victorian era. Based on the life of a real Brisbane socialite, Eve's Game explores rites of passage in an era of social change and emerging feminism. Join Eve for tea on the verandah and become her apprentice detective in the game of Paschal. Help her to investigate the disappearance of a young woman while exploring Miegunyah, discovering clues and solving puzzles.

"Such a pleasant and intimate theatre experience...This unique and intimate show is a cross between Downton Abbey and Enola Holmes." Josie Montano, Theatre Travels.

"Enthralling, entertaining, enjoyable. A fantastic immersive theatre experience, where the venue is a vital component of the performance." Catherine Lawrence, Creative Futures
